Mirka's pad savers are designed to protect the backing pad from wear when sanding aggressively and continuously with sandpaper. During sanding, the sandpaper may come loose from the backing pad, which will wear out the backing pad's velcro. These pad savers ensure that backing pad remains in top condition. These cost-saving pad savers, placed between the backing pad and the sanding pad, should be replaced regularly. The pad savers extend the life of the backing pad.
